TeamMates of Lincoln Public Schools Scholarship Opportunities
There is one application for TeamMates of Lincoln Public Schools and Central Office Scholarships.Click Here to Apply Online
Due: March 1st of each year. Criteria: Minimum of two years in TeamMates for $500 scholarships and three years for $1,000. A number of Lincoln individuals and organizations have provided funding to help youth in Lincoln pursue their post-secondary education goals. These scholarships are competitive scholarships and are not tied to any particular school, except for the Kaplan University Scholarship.
Central Office Scholarship Opportunities
The TeamMates Mentoring Program offers two scholarships through the central office including the Osborne Opportunity Fund and the Gary Scharf Scholarship Fund.- Osborne Opportunity Fund
Due: April 1st of each year. Criteria: Minimum of two years in TeamMates. For mentees pursuing post-secondary education in the University of Nebraska system. Schools include UNL, UNO, UNMC, UNK and Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture. - Gary Scharf Scholarship Fund
Due: April 1st of each year. Criteria: Minimum of two years in TeamMates. Established in memory of Gary Scharf whose family wished to dedicate funding to helping youth. This scholarship is a competitive scholarship and is not tied to any particular school. - Howard Osborne Scholarship
Due: February 1st. The Howard Osborne Scholarship is for students bound for Hastings College. TeamMates Mentees are given priority in this fund.

In addition to the scholarships provided by the central office and local chapters, TeamMates has created special partnerships with a number of organizations that provide scholarship opportunities. Listed below are the scholarship funds that are a good match for TeamMates mentees.Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship
Due March 1st of each year, this is for students with a 2.5 GPA and who plan on attending a Nebraska state school. Priority is given to students in financial need. Click on the link above to review the full requirements and download the application. Once you receive a Buffett scholarship, follow-up services are available to you if you attend UNL, UNO or UNK.

Education Quest
EducationQuest accepts nominations from the TeamMates Mentoring Program through Gigi Inness at ginness@teammates.org. Nominations are due in the spring and fall of each semester. Click on this link for nomination details.

UNL In-State Freshmen Scholarships
Due: February 1st. For students attending UNL. Choose from a variety of scholarships including diversity scholarships and the Davis-Chambers scholarship. Must be registered at the University before you can apply.
UNO Goodrich Program
Due: February 1st. The Goodrich Scholarship Program began in 1972 with funds from the Nebraska State Legislature. It is named in honor of Omaha's former State Senator Glenn Goodrich, who authored the enabling legislation. The overall intent of the Program is to provide a college education for Nebraska residents, who otherwise could not afford it, while offering them a broad and meaningful experience in general education.
