Tools for TeamMates in High School

The goal is for the TeamMates Mentoring Program to equip mentors with the tools to advocate for post-secondary planning. Mentors are encouraged to utilize the local school counselor and EducationQuest for help completing the FAFSA forms and meeting important deadlines the senior year of school. Listed below are some tools to for mentors, mentees and coordinators to help youth pursue their dreams of post-secondary education.
  • High School Training
    Training can be requested from your regional coordinator for mentors supporting high school students. The training includes tips for post-secondary planning.
  • College Readiness Checklist by Year
    Click on the link above to access a freshman through senior year checklist to ensure your mentees are ready for college! Mentors can utilize these to help keep mentees on track for graduation and eligible for post-secondary education.
  • EducationQuest
    Request an EducationQuest representative to visit your school for your high school matches and their parents. EducationQuest can help with completing the FAFSA and other important forms.

    Sign up for the Education Quest Newsletter. This is a bi-monthly college access guide to for community agencies in Nebraska.
  • Know How to Go
    Know How to Go provides four easy steps for mentees to get to college. Part of a national effort to gain college access for first generation students, the website is a great place for mentors to start a conversation about post-secondary planning.

    The goal of the Dream It. Do It. campaign is to help young adults find careers that they can be passionate about in one of manufacturing's many exciting sectors. Whether someone is interested in cars or computers or music or even art, there's a great job waiting for them in manufacturing.
