The TeamMates Mentoring Program and UNL fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha teamed up for the Third Annual Football Run to Kansas. Tom Osborne, co-founder of TeamMates, officially inaugurated the run by handing off the football to the first of 30 Lambda Chi Alpha runners on the steps of Memorial Stadium, Thurs., Nov. 12. The 220-mile run ended the next afternoon with the football handed off to Coach Mark Mangino outside Memorial Stadium in Lawrence, KS.
Individuals and businesses pledged support for the run. As a result, the fraternity raised close to $6,000 for TeamMates, contributing to Lincoln TeamMates annual fundraising goal of $218,000.
