Each year students and mentors are nominated for their accomplishments within the TeamMates Mentoring Program. Following are names of students receiving Student Achievement Awards during a Recognition Dinner, Jan. 22, 2009.

In addition, a mentoring match is selected from all the nominations received for special recognition. This year Karen Case and Domaneak Muhammad were selected.

Each mentor inducted into the Mentor Hall of Fame was nominated by his/her mentee. To qualify for the Hall of Fame, persons must be a mentor in the program for three years or longer.

Eat at Runza March 30 and benefit TeamMates
On Tuesday, March 30 Runza� Restaurants across Nebraska and Iowa will be donating 10% of all proceeds to the TeamMates Mentoring Program. The effort is part of Runza's belief that it takes more than food to serve a community.

TeamMates' 2010 Tony and Carmen Messineo Community Involvement Award was given to Nelnet, US Bank, Southwood Lutheran Church, Greg Bouvier (pastor, Sheridan Lutheran Church), and LPS Superintendent of Schools Susan Gourley.

Recognition Dinner - Jan. 21
Nearly 450 mentors, mentees, family members, and school staff enjoyed an evening of good food, good friends, and much laughter. Matt McKay, KFRX, was a big hit as the master of ceremonies, and Joe Moglia, former CEO of TD Ameritrade, shared a message that moved the crowd. Read excerpts from award winners.
