TeamMates celebrates mentors, mentees
Laughter and chatter echoed through the Great Hall of the Lincoln Station, Thursday night, Jan. 21, when 450 TeamMates mentors, mentees, family members and school staff gathered for an evening of celebration. Faith-based organizations believe in TeamMates
Close to 40 percent of Nebraskans volunteer, the second highest rate in the United States. Of that number, 39 percent volunteer with their faith-based organization. Similarly, the Lincoln TeamMates Mentoring Program finds that close to one-half of its more than 700 mentors claim a faith-based affiliation. Read More...
TeamMates plan special events for National Mentoring Month
Nearly one-half of the more than 700 TeamMates mentors come from a faith-based background. A majority of those mentors attend one of 10 Lincoln churches who are formal faith-based partners or friends of TeamMates. Partners actively encourage members to consider becoming a TeamMates mentor as an option for ministry or community involvement. Read More...
