Events for Mentors and Mentees
TeamMates sponsors events for mentors and mentees throughout the year. Following are events during 2009-10.We're looking forward to next school year and more special opportunities!

Oct. 4, 2009 - Concert for Kids, a benefit hosted by Saint Paul United Methodist Church (12th & M) to support the important work of mentors, 6-7:30 p.m. Bring family and friends to this inspiring evening of music provided by several churches in Lincoln. Free will offering.
Sat., Nov. 21, 2009 - TeamMates Half-time recognition at the Nebraska-Kansas State football game. If you attend Cornhusker football games, be sure to watch for this special time. This year's scholarship winners will be recognized. (Tickets are NOT available through TeamMates for this game).
Sun., Nov. 22, 2009 - TeamMates Day with Creighton Blue Jays, including a Blue Jays basketball game and autograph session. This annual opportunity brings together mentors and mentees from across Nebraska. It's a great way to spend time with your mentee, other mentors, and Blue Jays players. Bus transportation is provided from Lincoln. Seating is limited. Watch for more information in an email and on this website as the information becomes available.
Sat., Dec. 19, 2009, 7pm: Husker Men's Basketball game. Huskers vs. Jackson State. Free tickets available for mentors, mentees, and a third party. Click on News and Events for more information and to reserve tickets. Deadline for reserving tickets is Dec. 4.
Sun., Dec. 20, 2009, 1pm: Husker Women's Basketball game. Huskers vs. LSU. Free tickets available for mentors, mentees, and a third party. Click on News and Events for more information and to reserve tickets. Deadline for reserving tickets is Dec. 4.
Thurs., Jan. 21, 2010: Recognition Dinner. There's always excitement in the air on the evening of this dinner, when mentors, mentees and families come together for good food, entertainment, celebration and time with each other. This special event is held at the Lincoln Station in the Haymarket.
Sat., Feb. 27, 2010 - "I Love My Dog Expo" by Domestipups. TeamMates are invited to help.
April 30, 2010 (UNL Student Union Auditorium, 9-1) - Spring Celebration Event, where TeamMates graduates will be honored and TeamMates scholarships awarded.
Sat., May 1, 2010 - May Day Surprise. Flowers and cards made by students will be delivered to residents at Legacy and Milder Manor.
