Visions Along the Platte River Valley
Visions Along the Platte River Valley is the narrative history of Nebraska. School Districts in Nebraska use the CDs as a teaching aid for 4th graders who are learning Nebraska history. Teachers say that the Visions Series is a great aid in getting young people interested in history because they are presented in story formats that make history fun to learn.The CDs are hour long presentations with a big soundtrack of music and a great cast of players who help Phil Walker tell the narrative history of our state.
The Award-Winning Visions series is endorsed by Congressman Tom Osborne because a significant portion of the sales of the CDs goes to support the TeamMates Mentoring Program. It is endorsed by Grow Nebraska as a state-produced product. It enjoys the Corporate sponsorship of Ameritas. Additionally, it won the Gold Award in 2005 from the Nebraska Broadcasters Association for Service to Youth.
